Nuala’s huge guitar anthem ‘Part Of Something’ gets the club remix treatment from Bristol noisemakers; Twin Siblings and Rainbow Slicer. The fierce kinetic energy of the original, translated through improvised synths and drum machines, captures the sizzling call to arms, calling you further still to a 90s dance floor.

This collaborative remix is an unexpectedly uplifting sound from self-described “slow-core, sad bastard music” (Twin Siblings) and “nihilistic techno” (Rainbow Slicer) artists and housemates, Jake Healy and Ben Harris. They meet in the basement of their historic grade II listed share house in Bristol’s raver-heart of Stokes Croft, to create what started as an attempt to “do something really Donna Summeryish”.

The two describe their collaboration process:
“Typically we bring our different music sensibilities to a live improvised session, recording on hardware we often hardly understand! This remix is a result of trying to make sense of that process, editing and crafting electronic madness into a cohesive and progressive dance track.”
